William K. Dodd, CEO
Bill most recently served as President and COO of
PūrDigitalTM Media and its parent company,
Biltmore Communications. PurDigital
Media was a pioneer in the MDU Digital Service Provider space; the first to provide Video (IPTV), Data,
Voice, and WiFi services over a common IP-Based platform.
In 2001, Bill
co-founded Open Point Networks to address the critical need for regional
"roaming" among high-speed wireless data networks and served as its
president until its sale in 2003 to Biltmore Communications.
Previously, Bill co-founded and served as
chairman and CEO of Blue Rock, which was later sold to Israeli-based RichFX.
Bill also co-founded and served as COO of AGR International, an international
engineering firm specializing in processing plant design and construction, and
process control automation.
Bill has been awarded several patents and
has been featured in various articles, including the New York Times and the
Atlanta Journal and Constitution. He has been interviewed by CNN, NPR and other
radio and television programs across the country. Bill has served as a director
on various boards, and recently served as Chairman and President of the Harvard
Business School (HBS) Alumni Association in Atlanta, and nominated to serve on
the national HBS Alumni Board. Bill founded and serves as Chairman of the
InfinitEnergy Partnership Board of the Georgia Institute of Technology's new
alternative energy research center.
Bill received his Bachelor of Engineering
summa cum laude from The Georgia Institute of Technology and his Masters of
Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
