The Team
Paul Savoldelli, Vice Chairman
Paul has initiated, developed and managed more than $2
billion of private equity transactions, primarily in the areas of cable
television and media. Most recently he served as CEO of Davivo International,
which was the largest cable holding company in Latin America. Davivo controlled
or co-controlled more than 2.4 million pay television and internet subscribers
and had revenues in excess of $475 million. Paul also has significant
experience in "buy and build" consolidation opportunities in the U.S. and Latin
America. In Argentina (Mandeville Cable), Paul led the consolidation of over
450,000 subscribers in less than nine months before the company's sale to
Cablevisión Argentina. This effort achieved a return for shareholders of 117%.
Prior to this, Paul co-founded Optel, Inc., the largest private cable operator
at the time with 250,000 subscribers in California, Texas and Colorado before
its 1995 sale to Le Groupe Videotron. Optel shareholders were rewarded with a
compounded annual return of 62%. Paul began his career as an attorney with
Gibson Dunn & Crutcher focusing on international joint ventures, financings
and mergers and acquisitions.
